Hellions History

Hello, 

My name is Meghan Piro and welcome to my gallery. I am a huge Nerd and love everything Creepy, Spooky and Gothic but also have a soft spot for the Cute and Cuddly.  I was born in Littleton Colorado and have been influenced by art my whole life. I have had three amazing sons and a daughter and have been surrounded by amazing influential people my whole life. More recently, I moved to Southern Arizona with my Husband where I fulfilled a lifelong dream of having a small farm and a beautiful art studio. Being in the cowboy town of Tombstone the Western style has grown on me.

What’s my reason for pursuing an art career? My talented Mother Pat Piro. She was everything in my early years of life, especially adulthood. As you can see by the picture displayed she had immense talent. Growing up she taught art classes, and I only wish I had taken advantage of the opportunity to learn from her but also spend that time with her. She passed from cancer in 2018. All of this is for my one-of-a-kind momma Pat Piro. 

At the end of 2022, my father suddenly passed. Now that both of my parents are gone like many, I felt lost. It was a hard time in my life. I started painting because it brought me joy and made me feel like I was honoring my parents while bringing me back to life. It all started with the idea of a birthday cupcake for my friend and muse Autumn. She received the very first Hellions Art piece and has been a massive inspiration for my art today. 

Every piece is a one-of-a-kind original painting. Some have mixed media but all are acrylic on canvas.
